Tamara : Enfrascada : Reading At The San Diego Repertory Theatre-Amigos Del Rep : San Diego, CA
Tamara, playing Claudia, was part of a reading for Tanya Saracha’s play, Enfrascada, as part of International Women’s Voices Day at The San Diego Repertory Theatre-Amigos del Rep.
Enfrascada – When Alicia finds out that her boyfriend of nine years has been cheating on her, she is devastated beyond belief. Luckily her friends are ready to help her – by any means necessary. They urge Alicia to experiment with brujería, voodoo, and santería; not only to heal her broken heart, but to help get her man back. Reminiscent of Sex and the City, Tanya Saracho’s comedy explores the truly magical side of love.
Tanya Saracho was born in Sinaloa, México. She is a playwright who writes for Television (HBO’s “Looking,” “Girls,” and “Devious Maids.”) and is currently writing for “How To Get Away With Murder” on ABC. Named “Best New Playwright” by Chicago Magazine, Saracho is an ensemble member at the Tony Award winning Victory Gardens Theater, the founder of the Ñ Project, founder and co-director of ALTA (Alliance of Latino Theater Artists) and founder and former Artistic Director of Teatro Luna, Chicago’s All-Latina Theater.
