“Dust was incredibly urgent when I started writing it in 2015, but the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida this week has shown all of us that toxic masculinity and gun violence are just as ripe for discussion and action as they were in 2015. I would love nothing more than for Dust to become a museum piece, a marker of a long distant past. But the reality is we need loud art like this now more than ever –art that drives us to action.”
