The Story
“It Feels Like Destiny”
As the FIFA World Cup captured the attention of millions, Tamara released “1-0” — a playful blend of Afrobeats, reggaeton, Latin rhythms, and pop that turns the excitement of soccer into a story about confidence, attraction, and taking your shot.
The song began as an idea back in February and was months in the making — written, developed, recorded, and prepared long before the match was ever played.
Then, on the very day of release, Mexico defeated Korea by the exact score that named the song: 1-0. “I couldn't believe it,” says Tamara. “It felt bigger than coincidence. It felt like destiny.”
And the scoreline kept coming true. On July 19 at MetLife Stadium, the World Cup final itself finished 1-0 — Ferran Torres' extra-time goal crowning Spain champions over Argentina. The biggest match on earth ended with the exact score Tamara had been singing all along.
Whether in love, life, business, music, or sport, sometimes the biggest victory isn't the final score — it's having the courage to play.
